Special Adviser In Zamfara Sacrifices 50% Of His Salary, provides Free Transportation

In its efforts to eradicate hunger among the society, the office of the wife of  Zamfara state governor Dauda Lawal, Hajiya Huriyya Lawal, in collaboration with the office of Special adviser to the governor on sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), has launched the distribution of food items to Three Hundred and Fifty people.

The Three Hundred and Fifty  vulnerable people selected within the ten wards of the society were given free packs of cocks assorted food items as support in Tsafe local government area of Zamfara state.

 Speaking during the commissioning of the programme, the Special Assistant on SDGs, Honourable Aliyu Adamu Barmo, has announced the his desire commitment to sacrifice fifty percent of his monthly salary in providing support to their people.

He however introduced and sponsored a free transportation cost to the people of their local government area, for two Bazamfara buses to operate from Gusau to Tsafe, within working days; from Monday to Friday, as part of programmes to celebrate his one year in office.
 He also promised to provide a monthly finanancial support for atleast five people in our communities conducting small scale and medium businesses, in order to improve their businesses.

 "All the support and palliative given is inline with our capacity governor Lawal campaign and mandate for improving the wellbeing of our people, also the successful transition of the governor to second term".

 Also speaking, the Peoples Democratic Party woman leader Hajiya Turai Tsafe, saluted the special assistant for the support given to the party members especially women.

 She however calls on the other party officials holding political offices to emulate such kinds gesture given the poor and vulnerable people in the local government.

 Women leader also commended governor Dauda Lawal for the projects carried out in Tsafe local government area, and policy and programmes affecting positive impacts to the live of women in the state.

In an interview with newsmen during the event, the PDP state assistant financial secretary, Alhaji Idris market, said " Honourable Barmo is exceptional in improvising support given to the party members and other people since he was the sole administration in the local government.

 He further urged the political office holders to copy his characters of  empowering the people especially our party members.

 "Barmo has eventually embarked in campaigning people to support governor Dauda Lawal administration, also sacrifice his wealth for improving the unity among the party members in the local government."
