Gov Lawal Flags off Empowerment Support Initiative To 7500 Small Scale Businesses In Zamfara

The Zamfara state governor, Dr Dauda Lawal has pledged to enhance the economic activities of the people in the state through various categories of Initiatives in partnership with the office of special adviser on Sustainable Development Goals SDGs and others collaboratives stakeholders.
The governor made the pledge during the flag off of free grand empowerment support for 500 small scale and medium entrepreneurship, held at secretariat Tsafe, Tsafe local government area of Zamfara state.
Governor Dauda Lawal made assurance through the state commissioner of environment, Honourable Kasimu Sani Kaura.
According to the governor, the initiative is aimed at poverty reduction, economic empowerment, and promoting self-reliance among the people in the state.
In his address, the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Zamfara State on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Dr. Aliyu Adamu Barmo, Ph.D, said the program implemented under Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the objective of supporting youths, women, and small-scale entrepreneurs.
"Each beneficiary would received a cash grant of One Hundred Thousand Naira (₦100,000) alongside starter packs valued at approximately Fifty Thousand Naira (₦50,000) to strengthen and expand their businesses.
Earlier in his remark, the Council Chairman of Tsafe local government, Alhaji Garba Shehu Fanchest, has commended the state governor for choosing Tsafe as the first venue for commissioning the initiative.
He also reiterated the council support and commitment to governor Dauda Lawal administration in providing a tremendous development in area.
"It's not worthy for any indigene of Tsafe local government to pay credit towards the project and achievement worst Over Ten billions of Naira carried out in our communities.
The Emir of Tsafe Alhaji Muhammad Bawa represented by Sarkin Gabas of Tsafe Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar Aliyu, thanks governor Dauda Lawal for his efforts in fighting the unemployment to the youth in the state.
He urged the beneficiaries to utilized the business materials provided to them by the governor through what he described as the capacity as special adviser Aliyu Adamu Barmo.
