On Tuesday, the Department of State Services director in Zamfara displayed the intercepted weapons and ammunition to the governor at the government house in Gusau. The NHIA coordinator Mr Mannir Sanusi  during a meeting iterated  that the intervention intends to reduce maternal and child mortality in the state.  Among the complications to be taken care of include pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, hemorrhage, prolonged labor, obstructed labor and Caesarian Section.
