Zamfara Health Commissioner Pledges Support For Eye Care Project

By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau Zamfara State Commissioner of Health Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun pledged the state government’s full support for the SEECLEAR PROJECT, an initiative aimed at improving eye healthcare services, during its inception meeting. The meeting, organized by Sightsavers, convened stakeholders from Sokoto, Zamfara, Kaduna and Plateau states. Dr. Maradun assured the Sightsavers team of the state government’s commitment to achieving and sustaining the project’s objectives. “This project comes at the right time, meeting the tight leadership at the state level,” Maradun said, referencing Gov. Dauda Lawal, who has prioritized the health sector and declared a state of emergency. The Commissioner emphasized the governor’s dedication to improving healthcare access for residents.
