Zamfara Governor Visits Flood Ravaged Communities In Gummi LGA, Donates N100 Million And Relief Items

Heavy rainfall last week flooded some communities in the Gummi local government area, submerging many houses. A statement by the governor's spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, said that Governor Lawal’s entourage began with a homage to the palace of the Emir of Gummi, His Royal Highness Justice Lawal Hassan. According to the statement, the governor toured Gummi town to express sympathy with the flooding victims before proceeding to Gayari town to assess the extent of the damage. Governor Lawal expressed deep concern after the assessment of the damage caused by the flooding.
