Zamfara Commissioner Of Health Visits Primary Health Centre, Promises Total Renovation, Equipping Of Primary Health Care Centers

By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau  Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, the Commissioner of Health, made an impromptu visit to the Primary Health Care Center (PHC) in Furfuri, Bungudu Local Government Area, today, Tuesday. During the visit, Dr. Maradun interacted with patients and expressed satisfaction with the number of women and children receiving immunizations and antenatal care.  She pledged to support the Furfuri PHC and improve healthcare facilities statewide. The Commissioner confirmed that the state government plans to renovate and fence the Furfuri PHC. She also indicated the government's intention to upgrade the status of health volunteers working at various facilities. Dr Nafisa Maradun made the call during an official visit to the Zamfara State Drugs and Consumables  Management Agency (DCMA) in Gusau.  Dr. Maradun unveiled that the State Ministry of Health has the potential to derive revenue theough legal derivable ways to support the State Government, hence the need for concerted effort among key drivers manning agencies and parastatals.
