At approximately 1540hrs, a good Samaritan reported that a large number of armed bandits had stormed Keta town with the intention of perpetrating their inhumane acts. In response, a joint operation comprising PMF, CTU, hunters, and CPG mobilized and engaged the bandits in a fierce gun battle. Regrettably, one PMF personnel, four Community Protection Guard (CPG) members, and two hunters made the ultimate sacrifice during the attack. Two hunters are currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre in Gusau. By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau  Zamfara State has reported a notable increase in tuberculosis detection rates and a 99% treatment success rate, the state's health Commissioner announced Tuesday. Dr. Nafisa Muhammed Maradun, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Malam Bashir Surajo Gusau at a press briefing to commemorate World TB Day 2025, said the state screened 972,061 people, identifying 10,216 confirmed TB cases. Of those, 5,313 patients were cured or completed treatment.  Dr. Maradun further said that the state recorded 18 TB-related deaths, representing a 1% death rate. "Through a combination of effective prevention, diagnosis, and treatment strategies, we have been able to reduce the burden of TB on our population," the Commissioner said.  Speaking under the theme "Yes!
