Zamfara Governor Signs N426 Billion 2024 'Budget Of Rescue Into Law

 By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau On Saturday, Governor Dauda Lawal signed the 2024 Appropriation Bill of N426 billion for the Zamfara State budget. The N426,563,671,000.00 billion approved ‘Budget of Rescue’ was passed by the Zamfara State House of Assembly last Friday. A statement by the spokesperson of the Governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, said the 2024 estimate has N118,358,079,515.00 (27%) allocated for recurrent expenditure and N308,205,591,485.00 (73%) for capital expenditure. He added that the budget of rescue would enhance domestic and foreign investments, productivity, and ease of business in Zamfara state. Zamfara Gov, Presents Over 432 Billion As 2024 Budget

By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has today presented the 2024 appropriation bill before the house of assembly to the tune of over four hundred and thirty two billion naira.(432,523,730).  Presenting the budget estimate titled "Rescue Budget" to the state Assembly, Dauda Lawal said that one hundred and thirteen billion, one  hundred and thirty four million, seven hundred and thirty four thousand, is for recurrent expenditure which represents thirty nine point five percent. By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau A Federal High Court in Sokoto dismissed a suit filed by former governor of Zamfara state,  Bello Muhammed Matawalle over ownership of taken away official vehicles. In June, the Zamfara State Police Command raided former Governor Matawalle's residences and seized taken away official vehicles as ordered by the court. A statement by the Spokesperson of the Zamfara State Governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, said that the Sokoto division of the Federal High Court rejected Bello Matawalle's claims over the ownership of the official vehicles. According to him, the former governor and his cabinet members had taken away all official vehicles belonging to the state government, leaving the present administration with nothing to use.
